What's so good about thick yoga mats? It never occurred to me that my mat may be even more comfortable. The thick mat trend reached my brother, who kindly lent me his new thicker mat for a week. I must say it was a different experience.

I picked up a neat little mat. It was pretty thick and had a nice ruffled surface.
I must admit there was notable difference. It seemed like the price of my mat was justified. The experience could be compared to practicing on a beach.I felt a lot more balanced. Repositioning on the mat felt different, more effort was required. It was not a very pleasant feeling, but I got used it. My knees felt much better after class. My back bones were not as hurt. I've become addicted to this yoga mat, it was a pleasant experience.
